A little bit of a beige August
In true Coach Claire fashion, I think we’re all embracing a little bit more of a beige August.
And not beige in a bad way. More beige in a way that lets you enjoy a little bit more of what you already have, rather than always chasing the next new thing, exciting thing or what’s coming next.
There definitely feels like there’s been a small change since August arrived. The mornings are a little darker, the air feels a little cooler and it feels like we’re slowly welcoming another chapter of the year. Although this is Scotland, so that could all change again by next week. It’s been another busy week at HQ, thank you.
One of those is that we’ve officially reached Maya’s first month with us at HQ 🥹
We’re so grateful for how much everyone has embraced her and made her feel part of the team. Hopefully lots of you have had the chance to train with her or say hello already, and if you haven’t, you’ll definitely get the chance over the coming weeks.
It’s been lovely for us to see how much she’s picked up in such a short space of time and how much she’s already progressed in her coaching. We’re very grateful to have her as part of our wee team.
We’ve also got plenty to look forward to as we move through August. Some retest markers will be making an appearance soon, giving us a chance to see where we’re at at this point in the year, celebrate the progress that’s been made and maybe identify something we’d like to focus on for the next wee chapter.
And, of course, our HQ Pub Quiz is on the horizon too, which we’re very excited about (28th of AUG).
It’s also hard to believe that we’re almost at the end of the summer holidays and getting ready for everyone going back to school.
Well done if you’ve just about survived it. Maybe it’s been less about thriving and more about simply making it to the finishing line.
I’m not actually sure what’s busier, summertime or Christmas time, or if they’re both just as busy as each other with how much we somehow try to squeeze in.
We’re still holding out for some nicer weather in August though, and maybe even a lovely September too.
For now, we hope you’ve had a lovely, restful weekend and managed to spend it in a way that fills your cup a little.
Here’s to enjoying a little bit more of what we already have, appreciating the ordinary bits and embracing our wee beige August.
And we’ll see you to do it all over again from 6am tomorrow morning.
