March Momentum

Lucy Thomson. 13 March 2026

Another brilliant week of training wrapped up at HQ. As we head into the weekend, we wanted to give a big shoutout to our HYROX team, and especially wish Niamh and Nikki the very best of luck as they compete this weekend.

The hard work has been done, the training is in the bank, and now it’s time to go and enjoy the day. We’ll all be cheering you on.

This week also reminds us  that progress shows up in so many different ways. Some of you are working towards big events and challenges, while others are simply turning up week after week and chasing those two or three sessions around busy lives. Balancing work, parenting, broken nights of sleep, long days and everything else life throws at you is no small task, and the fact that you still show up for yourselves when you can is something to be incredibly proud of. At HQ we believe every goal matters. Whether you're training for an event, building strength, improving your health, or just giving yourself a little time in the day that’s purely for you, it all counts.

A special shoutout this week goes to Ellie, who shared a brilliant story with me. The wind had blown her kids trampoline across the garden and on many previous occasions she wouldn’t have been able to safely move it herself. But thanks to the strength she’s been building in HQ, she managed to get it back across the garden on her own. Independent girl energy at its finest Ellie, well done on getting your three sessions in this week and putting that strength to good use in the real world!

Behind the scenes, we’ve also been busy getting everything ready for our HQ Open Day next Saturday, and we’d love to see some of you there. Bring along a friend, family member, or anyone you think might enjoy giving HQ a try. We’ll have Dj Nikki on the decks, some tasty nibbles, and plenty of good energy in the gym.

Have a lovely weekend when it comes, and hopefully we’ll see some of you later today or maybe even in for a wee extra Saturday session. And to everyone turning up tired, juggling life, work and family but still making time to move… we see you, we cheer for you, and you are our heroes.
